I love you Pahoa , we really are PAHOA STRONG


I know we as a community are not feeling that strong or that enthusiastic about a lot lately , as we are so stuck in that zone of hopelessness as a town. 


#Pahoa has been in dire need of #revival , #rebirth, and a big ol #LOVE bomb 💣 , as local #artist Sara Steiner-Jackson referred to it at her love bomb for Pahoa day back in 2015 during one of our never ending, circles of volcanic eruptions and near misses and unnecessary community lock outs and “Premature Evacuations”. 


It’s people are loosing their connections via human interaction in this day of social media and the rona daze . We MUST ACT NOW. we must embrace each other as the unique, crazy, weird, beautifu, eclectic, resilient and colorful group of Punatics that we are , for this life is to short for anything else but being grateful and giving our love to the ones we love. AND I LOVE YOU ALL, so let’s put on our game faces, get to work or school or go take your morning walk, and rule the day. 


Mama is home , we all need to behave , thank PELE for our beautiful HAWAII, and enjoy her blessings as she dances in HER ROOM. 🌋🌋🙌♾♾🌋🌋 


After all, we are all guests in her house , and I am so grateful to share our journeys together, you and I PUNA .

Hawaiʻi County to Start Road and Water Line Pohoiki Road and Highway 137 Projects in 2023

  On Friday, March 18, 2022, the County’s Department of Public Works, Department of Water Supply, Planning Department’s Disaster Recovery Division and Council Member Ashley Kierkiewicz (District 4) convened a virtual meeting with 50 community members to report on the status of restoring road and water infrastructure impacted by the 2018 Kīlauea volcanic eruption.
