We have many many many many earthquakes, hundreds a week etc and many many lava flows … but the recent Pahala Quakes, 2018 and 2021, are undeniably comparable.

I have been trying to raise awareness.
My moms been trying to raise awareness via her struggles and fights we all know about here in our current Puna daze.
It literally should not be this hard to get roads home , and the plain human decency of air quality monitoring, in a massively unregulated and unaccounted for foreign entity on Hawaiian lands, is really not a lot to Frikin ask for , after all these residents have been through for 30 years , including the recent 2018 eruption with major controversies around its inner workings (not Pele , we welcome her .. ) that completely erased over 700 livelihoods .
We must just stay AWARE. Don’t freak out or anything, we are used to it by now the lava daze . We all can be rest assured we are ok unless another big 6.9 er like may 2018, then we need to kick the awareness into high gear and start to figure out if we staying or going . We now just go forward with the knowledge of 2018 eruption, and it’s aftermath and ensure we will be ok as a community in a virtual cutoff zone . Puna will rise again, it’s time for our rebirth.
