Aloha Puna ❤️🔥
Quick update Jan 6 2022–
Just got email that event is changed to a virtual ZOOM . 🙄 ofcourse it is!
So here we are again …. Guessing games of kilauea recovery … something we will be VERY CLOSELY reporting on .
It’s just the sad truth. To much money for them to really want to help anyone get resources PAST PAHOA, IN THE ONLY AREAD NEEDED , LERZ PUNA DISASTER ZONES FROM 2018 ERUPTION. Helloooooooooo!!!????
We are sick of being the forgotten end of the stick and we are sick of them straight up NOT wanting to give ANY funds to lower Puna . These Reps have said it themselves “if they had it there way , ZERO FUNDS WOULD EVEN BE GETTING TO Lower Puna AREAS”. Wow.. But it’s not really a surprise. It’s just sickening.
Anyway back to the subject at hand . We have a third revitalize Puna event coming up soon . It’s free to go, just register at eventbrite, link is Below. There are some very good resources at this event , such as the mental health check in , etc. but the tidbits about Isaac hale beach park…. We’ve been hearing this forever , what’s going on ?!? Y’all just LET GO OF ALL THE SECURITY HERE AT ISAAC HALE , leaving it open for the tweakers all hours , and are speaking of investments in pohoiki.
you still have us all breaking our vehicles DAILY driving THREE HOURS A DAY TO GET OUR KIDS TO SCHOOL, PAYING 20 A DAY IN GAS , AND WAY MORE IN MAINTENANCE ( which I personally plan to start A PETITION for all residents down here TO GET A HUGE payout FROM THE COUNTY FOR REFUSING TO GIVE US A ROAD , AND therefore making us drive the equivalent in time it takes to DRIVE TO KONA AND BACK TO GET TO PAHOA ) , so please tell me , why don’t you FOCUS ON POHOIKI ROAD BEFORE ANYTHING WHAT THE HECK HAWAII COUNTY!!!!
If you are a LERZ resident , someone who was ACTUALLY AFFECTED (the reps get sooooo much attitude when you say that lol) PLEASE COME TO THIS !! YOUR VOICE DOES MATTER PUNA !!! We need to attend . We NEED TO SPEAK UP. Silence doesn’t get us anywhere with this type of stuff, and this is very important. Our land .
The fact that we are always overlooked has gone on far to long , and we really need funds to be down where all the homes were taken , and OUR ROAD STILL WIPED OUT . WTF . Stop putting huge new Community gardens up past any area that was affected taking so much recovery funding from the ACTUAL AREAS , etc (that’s just ONE of many examples) and I’m using it because the community garden and native Hawaiian food forest I am planning and in the works with for the actual affected areas got shut down by these ones in charge stating “the need statements” etc lol. My “needs statement” is the 33 years born and raised in a community always forgotten about . So , Hey , now we will have 5 IN PAHOA alone it seems , and none at all in the ACTUAL areas affected . What gives ?
It’s absolutely flabbergasting to me . whoever is in charge of it all literally is not HELPING THE AREAS THAT WERE AFFECTED BY THE 2018 ERUPTION ALMOST 4 YEARS LATER , YET ARE GETTING SOOO MUCH FUNDING!!!
The fact that they don’t want people to get comfortable down here anymore is beyond obvious. Let’s start to really pay attention .
See you at the amazing event PUNA. (Invite below ⬇️ )
